Make the person in your photodo what the video does

Upload the video with the moves and one photo of the person who should do them. oVideo puts that person into the clip and has them perform every step, gesture and expression with the same timing and camera. What you get

Your photo, in the video's scene

This is not an animated photo. The real video stays, and the person in it becomes the person from your photo. That is why the result has the same camera, light and sound as the original, and looks like a real recording.

From the video

  • Every move and gesture
  • The timing and rhythm
  • Camera, background and light
  • The original sound

From your photo

  • Face and expression
  • Hair
  • Height and build
  • Clothes and shoes

How it works

Make a photo copy a video in three steps

  1. 01

Upload the video with the moves

Any clip up to 60 seconds where one person moves clearly: a dance, a trick, a walk or a gesture. Pick the 3 to 15 seconds you want.

  2. 02

    Add the photo

One person, face clearly visible. A full body photo gives the most accurate build and outfit. It can be you, a friend or your partner, as long as they agreed.

  3. 03

    Create

The person from the photo does the same moves, and the original sound is put back. The video lands in your gallery.

Better results

What makes a clean copy

  • Pick a clip where the person stays in frame and is not covered by others.
  • Use a photo with one person and a clear, front facing face.
  • Choose an outfit that suits the move: a dress twirls, a hoodie does not.
  • One continuous shot copies better than a clip full of fast cuts.
  • In a clip with two people, the main person is the one replaced. For two at once, use a duo template.

Ideas

What people make their photos do

  • The viral dance. A photo of you or a friend doing the exact choreography, beat for beat, with the original song.
  • The trick shot. Bicycle kicks, flips and dunks, performed by someone who has never tried one.
  • A swapped role. Your sister in the lead of a dance her brother filmed, or the other way round.
  • The meme reaction. A famous gesture or reaction clip, done by the person from your photo.

Answers

Frequently asked questions

How do I make the person in my photo do what someone does in a video?
Upload the video with the moves to oVideo, choose 3 to 15 seconds, add one photo of the person and press create. The AI puts that person into the clip and has them do every move with the same timing and camera. The original sound is added back automatically.
Can I make a girl in a photo do what a guy is doing in a video?
Yes. The person from the photo replaces whoever is in the video, whatever their age or gender. Their face, hair, build and outfit come from the photo, and only the motion comes from the video, so a dress still moves like a dress.
Will the movements change?
No. Every step, gesture and expression keeps the timing of the original clip, and the camera moves the same way. The new person simply performs it.
Does the background of my photo stay?
No. The scene, the light and the camera come from the video. Only the person comes from the photo. If you want the moves somewhere else, start from a clip filmed in that place.
What if there are two people in the video?
With your own clip, the main person in the video is the one replaced. To replace two people at once, use a duo template from the trends gallery, where you add one photo per person.
Does it keep the music and the original sound?
Yes. The audio of the part you picked is put back in sync, so the music, voices and sound effects stay as they were.
How long can the video be?
You can upload a clip of up to 60 seconds and 200 MB, then choose any 3 to 15 seconds of it to make. The result comes back in 720p or 1080p, in the same shape as your clip.
Can I use a photo of someone else?
Only with their permission. Before every video you confirm that the people in the photos agreed to it. The AI safety filter also refuses some photos, such as famous people; then no video is made and the credits are refunded.
How much does it cost?
It is priced per second: 19 credits per second at 720p and 26 at 1080p, so 10 seconds at 720p is 190 credits. Plans start at $10 a month for 400 credits. The price shows before you create, and failed videos are refunded automatically.
Is this the same as motion transfer apps like Viggle?
It solves the same wish in a different way. Motion transfer apps animate your photo with the moves of a reference video and build a new clip around it. oVideo keeps the real video, camera and sound, and puts the person from your photo into it, which is why the result looks like an actual recording.
