Shot for shot

The same clip, starring you

There is no prompt to write. oVideo tells the AI to keep everything in the clip and change only the person, so the remake follows the original frame by frame.

Kept from the clip

  • Scene and background
  • Camera angle and moves
  • Cuts and timing
  • Music and sound

Taken from your photo

  • Your face
  • Your hair
  • Your build
  • Your outfit

How it works

Recreate a video in four steps

  1. 01

    Save the clip

Have the video you want to remake as a file: an MP4 or MOV of up to 60 seconds and 200 MB.

  2. 02

    Pick the part

Choose the 3 to 15 seconds you want to recreate, such as the hook, the dance or the punchline.

  3. 03

    Add your photo

One person, face clearly visible. Wear in the photo what you want to wear in the video.

  4. 04

    Create

The AI recreates the clip with you in it and puts the original sound back. It lands in your gallery when ready.

Remake vs reshoot

Why not just film it?

  • No need to find the same location, light or props.
  • No camera operator to match the original moves.
  • No learning the choreography or the timing.
  • No editing to sync the original sound.
  • Try the same clip in different outfits by changing the photo.

Ideas

What people recreate

  • A trend you missed. Remake the clip everyone posted last week, shot for shot, without learning it.
  • A favourite scene. A dance, a walk or a reaction from a video you love, with you in the lead.
  • A music video moment. The stage, the lights and the song stay; the performer becomes you.
  • A brand clip. Reuse one strong ad or demo with a different presenter, keeping the camera work.

Answers

Frequently asked questions

How do I recreate a video with myself in it?
Upload the clip you want to remake to oVideo, choose the 3 to 15 seconds you want, add one photo of yourself and press create. The clip works as the template: the same scene, camera, timing and sound, with you in place of the person in it.
Can I use a TikTok or Instagram Reel as the template?
Yes. Paste the link of the TikTok, Instagram Reel or YouTube Short, or upload the file. Use clips you have the right to use, and credit the original creator when you post.
Will it look like the same scene?
Yes. The background, the light, the camera angle and every camera move come from the original clip. Only the person changes, so the remake matches the original shot for shot.
Do I need to write a prompt?
No. You only add the video and your photo. oVideo already tells the AI to keep everything from the clip and change only the person, so there is nothing to describe.
Can I keep the original music?
Yes. The sound of the part you picked is added back in sync, so the music, voices and effects stay exactly as they were.
What if the clip has more than one person?
With your own clip, the main person is the one replaced and everyone else stays. To recreate a scene with two people, use a duo template from the trends gallery and add one photo per person.
What resolution and format do I get?
An MP4 in 720p or 1080p, in the same shape as your clip, so a vertical TikTok stays vertical and a landscape clip stays landscape.
Do I have to wait on the page?
No. You can close the page while it is made; the finished video waits in your gallery.
How much does it cost?
It is priced per second: 19 credits per second at 720p and 26 at 1080p, so a 15 second remake at 720p is 285 credits. Plans start at $10 a month for 400 credits. The price shows before you create, and failed videos are refunded automatically.
Can I post the remake?
Yes, the video is yours to post. Get the consent of anyone whose photo you use, and turn on the AI generated label that TikTok and Instagram offer for realistic AI content.
Can AI put me in a video? Which app does it?
Yes. oVideo’s Put Yourself In replaces the person in a clip with you from one photo: your face, hair, body and outfit, with the same moves, camera and original sound. Upload the clip or paste a TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts link, pick 3 to 15 seconds and create. It runs in the browser, so there is no app to install.

Your photo, your video

  • Used only for your videoYour photo and clip go only to the AI that makes your video, and they are kept in your account.
  • Private until you share itThe finished video waits in your gallery; nothing is posted for you unless you choose to publish it.
  • Deleted when you askEmail support@ovideo.io and your uploads and videos are deleted within 30 days.
  • Only people who said yesUse photos of yourself or of people who agreed, and turn on the AI label when you post.
