One video, more markets

Post the same Reel, Short or TikTok with captions in Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic or Japanese without filming it again. Each language is its own version.

Timed to the voice

Each translated line keeps the timing of the line that was spoken, and word by word styles spread its words across that time, so the captions still move with the voice, also in Japanese, Chinese and Thai.

Edit before you export

The caption editor opens with the translation, so you can fix a word, choose one of 10 styles and place the captions before you export.

Frequently asked questions

How do I translate the subtitles of a video?
Open Translate Subtitles in oVideo, upload the video and pick the target language. oVideo transcribes the speech, translates the captions into that language timed to the original voice, and opens the caption editor so you can style them and export an MP4 up to 1080p.
Which languages can I translate subtitles into?
English, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Italian, Dutch, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Russian, Indonesian, Polish, Vietnamese, Thai, Ukrainian, Persian, Hebrew, Romanian, Greek, Czech, Swedish, Hungarian, Malay, Filipino and Danish. The spoken language of the video is detected automatically.
How much does subtitle translation cost?
The subtitle price plus the translation: 5, 10 or 20 credits for the subtitles by length, and 10 credits per language for videos up to 5 minutes or 20 up to 10 minutes. A video under a minute costs 15 credits in total. Starter costs $10 a month for 400 credits.
Can I put Arabic subtitles on an English video?
Yes. Pick Arabic as the target language and oVideo writes right to left Arabic captions on the English video, timed to the speech. Arabic speech itself cannot be transcribed yet, so the video has to be in another language.
Can I download the translated subtitles as an SRT file?
Yes. Create SRT can translate too: turn on the translation option there and download SRT and VTT files in the target language.
Is subtitle translation free?
No. Translation needs a paid plan, from Starter at $10 a month. Free accounts get 3 subtitle videos in the spoken language where the free plan is available.
