  • Payment information: When you purchase credits or subscribe to a plan, payment details are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, which acts as our Merchant of Record. We do not directly store your full credit card number. We may store partial card details (last four digits, expiration date) for display purposes.
  • Content you provide: Text prompts, scripts, uploaded images, and other content you submit to generate videos.
  • Communications: If you contact us for support, we retain your correspondence and any information you provide.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, actions taken, time spent, and other interaction patterns.
  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and language preference.
  • Network information: IP address, approximate geographic location (derived from IP), and referring URLs.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and analyze usage patterns. See Section 8 for details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

3. YouTube API and Google User Data

If you choose to connect your YouTube account to oVideo, we access certain data via the YouTube Data API Services. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3.1 OAuth Scopes We Request

When you connect your YouTube account, we request the following OAuth scopes:

  • openid — To verify your identity
  • email — To identify your account
  • profile — To display your name and profile picture
  • youtube.upload — To upload videos to your YouTube channel on your behalf
  • youtube.readonly — To read your channel name and ID for display purposes

3.2 How We Use YouTube Data

We use YouTube data exclusively to:

  • Upload videos that you explicitly request to be published to your channel
  • Display your connected channel name in the oVideo interface

We do NOT:

  • Use your YouTube data for advertising or marketing purposes
  • Sell, rent, or transfer your YouTube data to any third party
  • Use your YouTube data to build user profiles for purposes unrelated to the Service
  • Store your YouTube data beyond what is necessary to operate the upload feature

3.3 Token Storage

We securely store your Google OAuth access token and refresh token to maintain your YouTube connection. These tokens are stored in our database with row-level security, ensuring only you can access your own token data. Tokens are used solely to authenticate API requests on your behalf.

3.4 Revoking Access

You may revoke oVideo's access to your YouTube account at any time through:

When you disconnect, all stored YouTube tokens are permanently deleted from our systems.

4. Sharing of Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: We share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating the Service (e.g., Paddle for payments, cloud hosting providers for infrastructure, analytics tools). These providers are contractually bound to use your data only for the purposes we specify.
  • Legal compliance: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of oVideo, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information and account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

  • Account data: Retained until you delete your account
  • Generated videos: Stored as long as your account is active; may be deleted after extended inactivity
  • YouTube tokens: Deleted immediately upon disconnection
  • Payment records: Retained as required by tax and accounting regulations
  • Support communications: Retained for up to 2 years after resolution

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • Row-level security (RLS) in our database, ensuring users can only access their own data
